Our Story
The Story of Three Friends
It all started in 2020, when the trio enrolled into the Accelerated Class for Science (ACS) in ACS (Independent).
Since that fateful encounter, we survived countless exams, group projects and late-night study sessions. Together, we matriculated into the Advanced Science Program (ASP) classes in Y5 and Y6, graduating with the same IB score of 44 points.
Upon graduation, we decided to put our shared experience to good use and guide the next generation of students to have a more enjoyable O Level/IB experience.
Our Team
Joshua Chen
Founder | STEM Tutor
Mugnomore’s founder graduated from the ACSI IB programme in 2023 with 44 points and A for both TOK and EE. He’s got an endless curiosity for learning and loves exploring new ideas, whether in books, conversations, or random YouTube rabbit holes. With his cheerful vibe, he’ll make tough topics feel less scary, and walk you through tricky questions without making you feel lost. Upon graduation, he received offers from NUS Dentistry, and medicine offers from Imperial, UCL, King’s and University of Birmingham.
Caleb Ling
Co-founder | STEM Tutor
An alumnus of ACS (Independent), Caleb graduated from the IB program with a score of 44 points. He is committed to helping you do well and will take the time to explain concepts until you understand them fully. Besides, he also has a questionable sleep schedule and will probably reply to your 12am burning questions. An aspiring doctor at King’s College London.
Tran Ngoc Chau
Co-founder | TOK Consultant
Ngoc Chau graduated from ACSI’s IB program with a score of 44 points and A for both TOK and EE. Although he was a science student, Ngoc Chau has a thing for big words and long sentences. For him, writing his TOK essay (and getting an A for it) was the best part of his IB journey, and he hopes to make it just as enjoyable for you. (If not, hopefully you’ll at least have a grade worth celebrating). He thinks about life and meaning on a daily basis and enthusiastically shares his thoughts with his less-enthusiastic friends. He also invests heavily in collecting old books like the nerd he is. Matriculating into UCL medical school.
